The three day event is designed to promote camaraderie, relaxation and time to share.
With a mixture of workshops, entertainment and outdoor activities, this provided an opportunity to foster a balance of personal development and group bonding. With a prompt check in and start on Day 1, the 14 attendees where settled in, and warm welcomes were received. A zoom workshop presentation with Samona Matagi, double amputee having sustained burn injuries on the job in hometown Utah, USA. Sam encouraged, inspired sharing his humbling story, the challenges and success during and his ongoing journey. A true inspiration and certainly greatly received from the boys! Onto the Cave Virtual Reality experience, the group engaging in icebreaking VR gaming, friendly competition and pizza dinner shared. Day 2: Early start with full BBQ breakfast and off to the Tauranga Pier to board the impressive WISH 4 FISH charter boat. Day on the high seas, enjoy some leisure time, scenic views and the all important fishing! |
Followed up that night with the group stories , catch of the day on the BBQ, strengthening relationships and creating the strong boys club connections.
Day 3: Feedback and observations discussed along with evaluation form completions. Departure and reflection on their weekend. A very special mention to PETE SHARP, for his time and support as the acting facilitator over these three days.
